Buffalo Spree Magazine - Wedding edition

January and February are definitely two of the biggest wedding planning months. Which is why Buffalo Spree Magazine wanted to interview me for their Jan/Feb Wedding edition, which is on shelves now. (I'm not sure which page I'm on, but when I have the magazine in front of me I'll re-update to fill you in.)

Wedding DJ for hire

So far the majority of my blog posts have been pictures of DJ animals. Which means I'm doing a good job.

I recently had an interview with Buffalo Spree Magazine, for their upcoming January/February wedding edition. They saw this here website, and being that my specialty has become DJ ing weddings, they decided to interview me. What I didn't realize is that the interview also came with a photo shoot, and I'm kind of awkward in front of a camera. We'll see how it turns out though! I feel guilty everytime I laugh and feel my heart warm,

while looking at pictures of animals doing people things.

Like, oh great, I'm that girl. If you're a female, chances

are, you love to look at pics of dogs dressed in sweaters,

or cats on icanhazcheeseburger.com for hours, and yeah--

I must be that female now. Haha. I will continue to post blogs

of photoshopped DJ animals. And I will continue to say that

they're "from Buffalo" or "from WNY" in hopes that when

searching for the term "Buffalo" people will happen upon

my little ol' DJ website ;-)

Look, my dog already learned how to high five. How much harder could it be to teach her how to DJ? And its not like it'd be hard for her to get a gig here in Buffalo. There aren't many local canine DJs, so her competition is like---non-existent.

It gets lonely sometimes, the life of a DJ. Standing behind a booth all by your lonesome, while everybody else at the wedding or event is dancing joyously around you. Sometimes I think I might find myself a local wedding singer and photographer to team up with. We could carpool, and occasionally wink and/or smile at eachother whilst performing our separate skills. So, if any wedding singers, bands, photographers, entertainers, etc., from Buffalo find this idea appealing, let me know. Message me. Call me. Telegraph me.

Being a wedding DJ, "Night & Day" is one of my favorite songs to play. It never fails to get all the couples out of their seats and onto the floor. This is a video I filmed at a wedding I was the DJ at, just outside of Buffalo in West Seneca, NY.

Everybody's favorite song to dance to at a wedding! At least in Buffalo...

Nope, everywhere.

Well...that and "Shout", of course.

I was once the wedding DJ at a wedding where they planned this whole thing where all the groomsmen slid onto the dance floor in their underwear,just like Tom Cruise in Risky Business---and danced with the bride. Howwwwever, one of the guys got a little too into it and ended up flashing all of the guests. Whoops! Last call for alcohol for THAT guy!

Being one of the only female DJs in Buffalo NY, I get hired for a lot of girls' sweet 16 parties! So fun!
